  1. This is such a helpful and straightforward guide! It’s great to see a simple and effective routine that doesn’t require a million different products. I especially appreciate the focus on barrier repair and affordable options.

  2. Does prequel work in black skin color

  3. I use the retino, my face is irritated and tingling

  4. I usually use a wash rag to wipe my cleaner off my face especially when wearing makeup or is it better just to use my hands???

  5. @courtneymatchett9501 April 8, 2025 at 10:42 am

Is it ok to use the First Aid Beauty retinol if I’m breastfeeding? And if not, what would you recommend instead to help with fine lines and wrinkles? Thanks! This video was really helpful.

  6. Morning Dr. 🌹! I was wondering why this bump kept appearing? Thanks for your Alluring Platform 💯👍 and your Alluring Appearance is very 🔥🙉 Wow

  7. Please let other dermatologists know that there are people out there like me that have an allergy to ceramides. Please also update skin care companies that not everyone needs ceramide. I hate this new fad. My face itches and burns after a couple of days of using it, even washing it off each day, then my skin completely peels off.

  8. I’m so glad for the sunscreen tip for sensitive eyes. My eyes are so sensitive.

  9. I appreciate the tips for creating a simple anti-aging skincare routine. One thing that always stumps me is whether my AM routine needs to include a moisturizer, sunscreen, and tinted moisturizer, or if there’s a way to simplify down to one or two products that fulfill my skin’s needs. My skin is dry/combo (quite dry in winter), but also sensitive and acne-prone (despite being in my late 40s). I prefer wearing a tinted moisturizer, BB, or CC cream rather than foundation. But in the summer I worry that’s not enough SPF if I’m not regularly replying. And in the winter the tinted moisturizers I’ve used typically don’t hydrate my skin enough.

Where I live, I don’t get a lot of sun exposure in winter, but more in summer. What do you recommend? Maybe an AM winter routine that includes a good moisturizer followed by a tinted product with SPF, then in summer do a good sunscreen followed by a tinted moisturizer (i.e. double up on moisture in winter and SPF in summer)? What tinted moisturizers, BB, or CC creams would you recommend for mature, dry, acne-prone, sensitive skin? Thanks!

  10. Thank you so much! I have eczema and dry sensitive skin. It’s great to have a retinoid recommendation for my type of skin <3

  11. Hi, how much for the range

  12. @debrathomas5795 April 8, 2025 at 10:50 am

Hey Dr Sam Ellis…..what would you recommend a skin care routine for combination skin?

  13. @Lukejohningram89 April 8, 2025 at 10:51 am

Thank god my skin is better now 🙂

  14. Great video! Is there much difference between using a moisturizer with an SPF or using a sunscreen as your moisturizer? I like the feel better of a moisturizer with SPF but wasn’t sure if maybe actual sunscreen was better…

  15. Do you need a sunscreen if you are not going to be outside?

  16. I don’t wear make-up. Do I really need two initial cleansers? The oil based and water based?

  17. Oh my God, you can talk. Just cut to the chase. You’re literally repeating yourself over and over.

  18. @audreybarfield2379 April 8, 2025 at 10:58 am

you clearly use botox, so this is misleading.

  19. @erikakronvold4211 April 8, 2025 at 11:01 am

Thank you for all your reviews. 🙂👌🏽
If the tone do not fit, can I add Iron powder myself, made for cosmetic, to the sunscreen, so the color fits better?
    ( I always need a little Yellow)
    Mineral sunscreen

  20. When I see that a professional pulls skin down I click off

  21. @GabrielParker-qq6hr April 8, 2025 at 11:05 am

I’ve spent a lot on skin care products and I found RenewRitual, which has strengthened my skin’s microbiome

  22. @jayvanithakurgarcia9386 April 8, 2025 at 11:05 am

Such an informative video! I love how you broke up up day and night routine with simple steps. I am incredibly inconsistent and makes perfect sense to have something to look forward to! Was wondering if you had any recommendation on applying these products around the eye area (specifically retinoid and vitamin C)? Thank you!

  23. I can’t use the ‘CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser’ or the ‘First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydra-Firm Night Cream’, because both of these products contain Hyaluronic Acid in them. Hyaluronic Acid dries out my skin really badly to the point where fine lines form all over my face and I start looking much older. From my experience, Hyaluronic Acid is a horrible ingredient to be included in products that are made for sensitive skin. So, I avoid all skincare products that contain Hyaluronic Acid in them.

The other skincare products you mentioned seem interesting though. I’m thinking of trying them out.

  24. @cheyennesmith7667 April 8, 2025 at 11:07 am

any products you recommend for a budget queen?

  25. My test of a cleanser is using a pad of clinique clarifying lotion – most cleansers DO NOT remove makeup – I’ve found only clin soap or laroche gel cleanser. All gentle cleansers do not remove ive noticed. Another test I’ve used is washing out makeup brushes and sponges – again none have removed makeup butvthen ive used clinique soap and a pile of makeup washes out in sink.

  26. @lolitakaloustianyoung7787 April 8, 2025 at 11:08 am

Hi – I checked the ingredients and it contains steric acid – isn’t that clogging?

  27. @karenvasconcelos3977 April 8, 2025 at 11:09 am

What are all the products again

  28. @hischildforever2062 April 8, 2025 at 11:10 am

Do you not need to wash off retinoids in the morning with cleanser?

  29. @harrybrooks9634 April 8, 2025 at 11:11 am

From Matsuko in Gaithersburg Maryland: Everything you said and showed me …all was VERY easy to understand!! Showing us the products and how to put it on our face was GREAT! Tomorrow I will go and buy all the recommended products and start to use them.

  30. @ashleytapaha874 April 8, 2025 at 11:12 am

Are there any store skincare like walmart or Walgreens?

  31. Thank you for your clear, concise and informative videos. I will be trying this first aid beauty retinol as I have very sensitive skin. Thanks !!!! 🙏🏻

  32. Skincare goes a long way

  33. @marisolguacci6604 April 8, 2025 at 11:17 am

I would like to know why wouldn’t you include a day moisturizer after applying your vitamin c serum regardless of skin type?
I have worked with skincare for a life time, and always educate my clients the importance of feeding the skin and being consistent with their specific routine, that I would recommend for their specific skin and concerns!!

  34. i feel so encouraged, cause i have been just water washing in the mornings for years now! i have never seen anyone recommend it, but i noticed that my skin would always get dry and flaky, especially around the nose, if i washed it with a cleanser in the morning! loved the video, thank you for your help 🙂

  35. I like to say grateful aging. I have 4 daughters and I tell my older ones that everyone ages and that beautiful but there’s nothing wrong in taking care of yourself in aging gracefully 😊

  36. @Nikki_aur_PoochPooch April 8, 2025 at 11:22 am

Hi. Thank you for your video. I would like to know if the morning skin care routine is to be done after a bath or before?
-> If it’s after a bath, then should we use face wash while bathing?
-> And if it is before bath, then what should we use on the face while bathing as well as after a bath to moisturize the skin?

  37. @4theloveofmedicine35 April 8, 2025 at 11:23 am

You are so pretty without make up.

  38. Sam, how long do you wait between applying retinol and moisturizer? I’m worried I will rub the retinol places I don’t want it and cause irritation. Thanks in advance!

  39. @shirleygagne1674 April 8, 2025 at 11:24 am

I am always skeptical when influencers earn a Commission on what they recommend.

  40. I am so happy i came across this video! As someone that is 43 and just getting into skincare, it is super overwhelming. "Influencers" make it seem like you need a 7-10 step routine, and it honestly made me want to throw in the towel. But i love how simple you kept it and actually was suprised by a few things (like just cleansing with water in the morning!) I actually ordered a vale set from First Aid Beauty yesterday which includes the ultra repair cream, their facial cleanser, skin radiance pads that are meant for exfoliation (which actually do not contain alcohol!) and a scrub for KP. I was going back and forth about whether to try their retinol and you completely sold me on it!

They do also sell a vitamin C serum, but it has really bad reviews, so i may go for the Paulas Choice or Dermalogica.

  41. Thank you for simplifying skincare for beginners! It’s easy to get lost in the abundance of information out there, but this routine feels achievable and focused on healthy skin. I appreciate the reminder to prioritize the basics and not overcomplicate things.

  42. I wonder how many of these types of videos actually go in to research of how good or toxic the ingredients are for your skin or body, endocrine system etc.
I use an app called Yuka and it scans all food and cosmetics and rates how good it is for you…and let me tell you, MOST stuff is so not good for you! It’s actually really shocking. (They also back up with papers and research for why certain things can be potential allergens, carcinogens, irritants etc etc) So I really struggle because I want a good skin care routine but am afraid of putting certain chemicals and stuff on my skin daily… 😢 These products look amazing and beautiful, but how ‘healthy’ are they is what I really wanna know…packaging is misleading a lot of the time unfortunately.

  43. @klaudiajanik6467 April 8, 2025 at 11:29 am

Thank you very much for these simply tips about skin care! I know what to do now. ❤

  44. Now I am thinking: If I need just four items for my skin care, WHAT THE HELL AM I GONNA DO WITH THE HUNDREDS OF CREAMS, SERUMS, AND OTHER SH!TS??? 😫

  45. That is the only retinol I’ve been able to use. My skin is super sensitive and I’ve had to give up retinol for so long. Then I decided to try this because I switched my other products to FAB. This really is luxurious feeling. At first I thought it felt oily but it was an odd feeling because after a moment of blending it soaks right in and my skin feels super silky.

  46. Very helpful 😊

  47. Thank. You!!!

  48. @ashleegmitchell April 8, 2025 at 11:34 am

A good tip from Dr. Sam Bunting is to wash your face with two fingers (two on the right & two on the left). I’ve found that I’m more gentle and thorough when I do that.

  49. Does the Dr own the brand prequel?

  50. I have rosacea so was wondering if lucent C safe for my skin? Just don’t want to buy if its not the best for rosacea and super sensitive skin.
